Running tonight's class

From the coach's tonight view — pre-class roster, check-in flow, live participant tracking, end-of-class ratings, and what gets auto-attributed to athletes' training history.

Running tonight's class

The coach's job, made easy: pre-class roster, one-tap check-in, finish-and-fan-out. Every action takes under a second and everything propagates to athletes' training histories.

Getting there

Dashboard → Coach → Tonight. Pick the class. URL is /dashboard/coach/tonight/<scheduleId>/<date>.

Before class

The page shows three things up top:

  1. Tonight's plan — your lesson plan for today. Open or draft from curriculum.
  2. RSVPs — who's booked. Capacity reflects real bookings + waitlist.
  3. Roster — every member of the gym (so you can tap-add a walk-in).

Check-in

Three ways an athlete can check in:

Each check-in lands in Live participants with the time and method. Capacity warnings show if you're over the schedule's cap.

During class

The live view is read-mostly — you've got the plan up top and the roster below. If someone walks out early, tap the X next to their name; their attendance window closes at that moment.

Finishing

Tap Finish class. Three things happen automatically:

  1. Every checked-in athlete gets a session draft created in their training history (date, duration, type, your gym). They can edit details if they want.
  2. The class is marked complete and disappears from the tonight queue.
  3. If you ran ratings (next section), those land on each athlete's coach feedback feed.

Optional: end-of-class ratings

Before finishing, tap Rate athletes. You'll see a list with star ratings + tag chips per athlete (Crisp execution, Tough opponent, Good progress, Mat awareness, etc.). Anything you set shows up in the athlete's coach hub.

This is opt-in per gym — some coaches do it every class, some never. Both are fine.
